How much does a Payroll Loan actually cost?

Interest is 8% per month, fixed on the amount you borrow, and there is an 18% arrangement fee. On a K10,000 loan over 6 months the fee is K1,800, so K8,200 reaches you. Interest is K800 a month, K4,800 over the term. You repay K2,466.67 a month and K14,800 in total. The calculator on every page shows these figures before you apply.

How much does a Payday Loan cost?

Interest is 33% for the period and the arrangement fee is 18%. Borrow K5,000 and the fee is K900, so K4,100 reaches you. You repay K6,650 in one instalment on your agreed due date.

Is the arrangement fee taken from the money I receive?

Yes. The 18% fee is deducted before the money is paid out, so you receive less than the amount you borrow. Interest is charged on the full amount borrowed. Both figures are shown side by side in the calculator so there is no surprise.

What is the Early Settlement Discount?

It applies to Payday Loans. Settle at least 7 days before your due date and your rate drops from 33% to 30%. On a K5,000 loan that means repaying K6,500 instead of K6,650. It is a discount for paying early, not a penalty for paying late.

What happens if I pay late?

A late charge of 10% per month may be applied after a 7-day grace period, for up to three months. You will hear from us before that happens - a reminder goes out before the due date and again after it.

Can I extend a Payday Loan?

You can request an extension, but it is not automatic and it must be approved. You must first pay at least half of the amount due; the remainder can be carried for up to two further instalments at 15% per month. Before you accept, we show you the new instalments, the new dates and the new total.

Can I settle a Payroll Loan early?

Yes. Ask for a settlement figure and we will confirm it in writing before you pay anything.

Do you lend outside Lusaka?

Yes. We accept applications from anywhere in Zambia. You will be asked for your province, town and residential address when you apply.
